Judge Trims Trustee's $198M Suit Against Madoff Family

Law360, New York (September 22, 2011, 7:31 PM EDT) -- A New York bankruptcy judge on Thursday trimmed claims in a case brought by the trustee liquidating Bernard Madoff's investment management firm seeking to hold Madoff's family accountable for its alleged part in his massive Ponzi scheme.

In dismissing a handful of Picard's claims, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Burton Lifland gave him 45 days to amend each one.
