40K Pounds Of Beef For Schools Recalled Over E. Coli

Law360, New York (September 26, 2011, 12:20 PM EDT) -- Texas-based Palo Duro Meat Processing said Monday that it had called back 40,000 pounds of frozen ground beef products nearly served to Georgia students over fears that the meat was contaminated with E. coli.

The potentially deadly ground beef was shipped to two warehouses in Georgia for further distribution to six school districts that participate in the National School Lunch Program. Palo Duro said it had already located and placed a hold on all of the recalled meat.
