Wi-Lan Must Fight Injunction In GPC Secrets Row: Judge

Law360, New York (September 26, 2011, 8:35 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Friday ordered Wi-Lan Inc. to explain why an injunction shouldn’t be issued in General Patent Corp.’s contract suit alleging Wi-Lan fraudulently feigned interest in acquiring the company in order to steal trade secrets and an executive.

Patent-licensing company GPC filed the suit Wednesday accusing Wi-Lan of fraud in connection with the purported takeover bid that allegedly was a ruse to collect enough intelligence to open a new office to be headed by ex-GPC executive Paul J. Lerner.
