EU Raids Natural Gas Cos. In Broad Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (September 27, 2011, 7:01 PM EDT) -- The European Commission said Tuesday it had raided natural gas companies in 10 countries based on suspicions that the suppliers and distributors might be impeding competition.

The surprise inspections targeted companies that supply, transmit and store natural gas mostly in central and eastern Europe, though the regulator did not identify the energy providers or specific countries involved in the raids.
