J&J Continues To Face Prosthetic Knee Suits

Law360, New York (June 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Several years ago, Johnson & Johnson and its medical device unit DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. faced more than 50 product liability suits alleging that their knee implants were defective, and similar suits continue to be filed today.

On Monday, a related product liability suit brought against J&J in Massachusetts state court was removed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts after J&J, which is based in New Jersey, showed that diversity of citizenship existed.
