Perkins Creditors Cleared To Challenge $72M In Claims

Law360, Wilmington (September 28, 2011, 2:19 PM EDT) -- Low-ranking creditors of Perkins & Marie Callender's Inc. on Wednesday won a Delaware bankruptcy court's blessing to challenge $72 million in claims that the troubled restaurant chain refused to oppose, including those of its private equity owner, Castle Harlan Inc.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin Gross granted the official committee of unsecured creditors authority to object to the claims for voting purposes and sue the various claimants to trim or void the claims in their entirety.
