Asbestos Plaintiffs Pursue Pfizer For $10M In 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (September 28, 2011, 1:41 PM EDT) -- A law firm for people suffering asbestos-related injuries on Wednesday asked the Second Circuit to let them pursue about $10 million in claims against Pfizer Inc., whose bankrupt subsidiary Quigley Co. made asbestos-laden insulation.

Pfizer can be held liable for Quigley's wrongdoing under a Pennsylvania tort law called Section 400 that says plaintiffs can bring product liability suits against any company that places its logo on a defective product, attorney Jeffrey Jonas, who represents the firm Law Offices of Peter G. Angelos, told the appeals panel....
