Merck Pays $1.6M To End Idaho AWP Fight

Law360, New York (September 29, 2011, 4:39 PM EDT) -- Merck & Co. Inc. agreed Thursday to pay $1.6 million to resolve the state of Idaho's claims that the drugmaker caused its Medicaid program to overpay for drugs by inflating their average wholesale prices.

Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden has now netted more than $15 million from average wholesale price settlements since 2005.
