Costco Disputes Claims In Wage Class Action

Law360, New York (June 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Costco Wholesale Corp. has denied allegations in a proposed wage-and-hour class action that it failed to compensate its nonexempt warehouse workers for their entire shifts since May 2002.

The Issaquah, Wash.-based warehouse club chain answered the plaintiff’s first amended complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, contending that the court should not certify the proposed class and that it was not entitled to an injunction or any relief.
