US Wants Rajaratnam's Medical Docs Unsealed

Law360, New York (September 29, 2011, 7:43 PM EDT) -- Prosecutors told a New York federal judge on Thursday that convicted insider trader and Galleon Group LLC founder Raj Rajaratnam, who is seeking a lenient sentence for medical reasons, should have to disclose his purported ailments to the public.

Rajaratnam was convicted in May on 14 counts of securities fraud and conspiracy for allegedly making about $53.8 million in trading profits and avoiding an additional $9.9 million in losses based on illegal tips. His attorneys and federal prosecutors have sparred over the length of his sentence....
