UK Comedy Club Chain Sues Fox Over 'Glee' Marks

Law360, New York (October 3, 2011, 1:16 PM EDT) -- The owner of British comedy chain The Glee Club said in September that he had hit News Corp.'s Twentieth Century Fox Corp. unit with a trademark lawsuit in London, claiming the company stole his venues' name for the television sensation "Glee."

Glee Club founder Mark Tughan said Sept. 22 that his company Comic Enterprises had “reluctantly” filed suit in the Patent County Court in London after the television franchise became too big to ignore and damaged his brand.
