Fed. Circ. Sides With IGT In Slot Machine Patent Row

Law360, San Diego (October 6, 2011, 5:54 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Thursday affirmed a finding that Bally Gaming International Inc. had infringed two International Game Technology patents covering slot machine features.

The three-judge panel upheld a Delaware federal court’s grant of summary judgment of infringement against Bally, finding the court had properly construed several claim terms of IGT’s U.S. Patent Numbers RE37,885 and RE38,812 related to systems for providing extra bonuses to casino players.
