Firm Will Pony Up $2M Over Misleading Mortgage Filings

Law360, New York (October 6, 2011, 6:47 PM EDT) -- New York law firm Steven J. Baum PC agreed Thursday to pay $2 million and overhaul its handling of mortgage foreclosure actions to resolve a federal probe into allegations that it knowingly made misleading filings on behalf of its clients.
