Ford Calls Plaintiffs' Accusations "Cryptic"

Law360, New York (June 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Ford Motor Company denied a charge that it withheld pertinent information during the discovery phase of a product liability suit involving three deaths, characterizing the plaintiffs' accusation as “cryptic” and arguing against re-opening discovery.

In a letter to a federal district judge sent Thursday, Ford said that the plaintiffs have discovery from this case and several other related cases, and accused them of misrepresenting Ford's behavior in a letter they sent to the judge on June 15 arguing for more discovery.
