Madoff Trustee Wants $47M From ABN Amro, Nomura

Law360, New York (October 6, 2011, 10:41 PM EDT) -- The trustee for Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC launched lawsuits against ABN Amro Bank NV and Nomura Holdings Inc. on Thursday, seeking to recover approximately $47 million they allegedly received through Madoff's Ponzi scheme.

In two separate complaints filed in New York bankruptcy court, Irving Picard alleges ABN Amro, now known as The Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC, and Nomura received the ill-begotten funds through feeder companies that made billions of dollars in transfers during the last six years before Madoff's scam was outed....
