Apple Infringed Online Music, Video Patents: Suit

Law360, New York (October 11, 2011, 6:06 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. was hit was a patent infringement suit Tuesday in Pennsylvania federal court by SightSound Technologies LLC, a company that claims to have invented technology that allows the online distribution of music and video.

Pittsburgh-based SightSound claims in the suit that Apple has willfully infringed three of its patents. All three have recently been found valid after re-examination by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the suit claims.
