'LA Law' Star Sues Over Canceled Spokesman Gig

Law360, New York (October 11, 2011, 4:55 PM EDT) -- Actor Corbin Bernsen, former star of TV drama "L.A. Law," sued Innovative Legal Marketing LLC in Virginia federal court on Friday, claiming the company breached a contract with him to serve as its spokesman.

The suit claims that Bernsen signed a five-year deal with Virginia-based Innovative in 2009 to appear in advertisements for the legal marketing firm, for which he was to be paid $1 million. Innovative terminated the agreement in June after paying him only $332,000, the complaint alleges.
