Amp'd, Verizon Wireless Reach Network Access Deal

Law360, New York (June 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Less than a month after Verizon Wireless threatened to kick Amp’d Mobile Inc. off its network, causing the mobile provider to file for bankruptcy, the two warring mobile carriers have reached a settlement that will allow Amp’d to receive the financial backing that will see it through Chapter 11 proceedings.

On Wednesday, Amp’d submitted the proposed settlement to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and asked for court approval. Under the settlement, Verizon Wireless will rescind the termination letter it sent to Amp’d...
