Australia Latest To Ban Samsung Tablet In Apple IP Row

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 12:08 PM EDT) -- An Australian court on Thursday banned sales of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in the country pending the resolution of Apple Inc.'s claim that the device infringes its patents on touch-screen technology.

Australia is now the second country in which Apple has secured an injunction barring sales of Samsung's Galaxy, following a ruling by a German court in August.
