ITC Keeps Duties On Chinese Canvas In Place

Law360, New York (October 12, 2011, 4:29 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Wednesday that it had voted in favor of maintaining an anti-dumping duty order on artists' canvas from China, determining that revoking the order would likely translate to material injury to domestic companies.

In a 5-1 vote, the commission found that getting rid of the order would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. Commissioner Daniel R. Pearson voted in the negative.
