AstraZeneca, Sun Pharma Settle Over Nexium Generic

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 8:37 PM EDT) -- AstraZeneca AB on Tuesday settled with Sun Pharma Global Inc. in a patent suit over the generic drugmaker's plans to make its own version of Nexium IV, AstraZeneca’s stomach acid reflux drug.

Judge Joel A. Pisano of the District of New Jersey signed off on a consent judgment preventing Sun Pharma from selling its generic Nexium IV until Jan. 1, 2014, without authorization. Other terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
