Founders Fund Leads $33M Investment In Knewton

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 1:55 PM EDT) -- Education technology startup Knewton raised $33 million from a group of investors led by private equity firm Founders Fund Management LLC as the company looks to move its online learning program to the global stage, the company announced Thursday.

Founders Fund joined learning company Pearson PLC and existing venture investors Accel Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners and FirstMark Capital LLC in a Series D round of financing that mustered $33 million in growth capital for New York-based Knewton, the press release said.
