Atty Owes Fees To Nimkoff In Compensation Suit: Referee

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 7:44 PM EDT) -- Lawyer Robert J. A. Zito should pay $728,000 in attorneys' fees to Nimkoff Rosenfeld & Schechter LLP for services rendered in a compensation case against his former law firm, a New York special referee recommended in a report made public Wednesday.

Special referee Lancelot B. Hewitt decided that despite a retainer agreement capping hourly service fees at $25,000, Nimkoff Rosenfeld was entitled to $675,000 for services and to about $53,000 in disbursements for representing Zito in a suit against Fischbein Badillo Wagner Harding LLP, a firm largely swallowed...
