Armor Dealer Gets 4 Years For Trying To Ship Overseas

Law360, Wilmington (October 13, 2011, 7:44 PM EDT) -- A Tennessee man was sentenced Wednesday to 46 months in prison for attempting to ship body armor inserts to Colombia after shopping them on eBay.

U.S. District Judge Thomas W. Phillips levied the sentence on Jerome Stuart Pendzich, 34, after the small-time arms dealer reached a deal with prosecutors in January and pled guilty to violating the Arms Export Control Act, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
