Judge Approves $120M In Old GM Ch. 11 Legal Fees

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 11:10 PM EDT) -- A New York bankruptcy judge on Tuesday awarded approximately $120 million in legal fees and expenses incurred throughout General Motors Corp.'s two-year Chapter 11 proceedings, though that amount could drop $2.5 million pending the outcome of a fee examiner's objection.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert Gerber approved the requested compensation from about 25 law firms for their time devoted to the proceedings from June 2009 to March.
