Samsung Loses Dutch Bid To Ban Apple Products

Law360, New York (October 14, 2011, 1:30 PM EDT) -- A Dutch court on Friday rejected Samsung Group’s request for an injunction barring Apple Inc. from selling iPhones and iPads that use 3G technology, dealing a blow to the Korean tech company in the rivals' global intellectual property battle.

Samsung argued that Apple’s marketing and sale of devices that use mobile 3G technology infringes on four of its European patents, and that Apple should pay licensing fees, according to a statement from the Supreme Court of the Netherlands.
