ITC Recruits 2 New Judges To Tackle IP Disputes

Law360, New York (October 17, 2011, 5:54 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission announced Monday that it had brought aboard two former Social Security Administration judges to serve as adjudicators for the agency's investigations into copyright, patent and trademark disputes.

Judges David P. Shaw and Thomas Bernard Pender, both of whom recently served with the SSA's Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, will join the ITC as administrative law judges in Washington. The new hires start Oct. 24.
