Judge Opts For Solyndra Restructuring Officer, Not Trustee

Law360, New York (October 17, 2011, 10:51 PM EDT) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge reportedly denied the U.S. trustee's request for the court to appoint a Chapter 11 trustee for Solyndra LLC on Monday, instead appointing a chief restructuring officer.

Judge Mary Walrath said at a hearing that Solyndra's case "does not rise to the level of failure to disclose that would mandate the appointment of a trustee," according to a Bloomberg report.

She ordered R. Todd Neilson to step in as CRO to replace the bankrupt solar panel maker's CEO Brian Harrison, who resigned Oct....
