'Jersey Shore' Star Creates Situation Over 'GTL' Mark

Law360, New York (October 18, 2011, 4:01 PM EDT) -- Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino's company on Monday accused a Florida-based energy drink manufacturer of infringing the "Jersey Shore" star's "GTL" trademark by distributing lifestyle products under the "gym, tan, laundry" acronym.

MPS Entertainment LLC — which allegedly holds an exclusive license to use the trademark for items related to "the gym, tan, laundry lifestyle and any related products" — sued GTL Fuel LLC for trademark infringement in the Southern District of Florida.
