Philips Joins Growing List Of Cascades IP Targets

Law360, New York (October 19, 2011, 2:03 PM EDT) -- Patent-holding company Cascades Computer Innovation LLC set its sights on electronics giant Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV in Illinois federal court on Tuesday, in its latest suit over patents covering mobile technology software.

Cascades alleges Phillips’ Connect wireless players, such as its Connect 3 GoGear WiFi MP3 Video Player, infringe on its patent related to binary translated code, according to the complaint.

The patent-in-suit is U.S. Patent No. 7,065,750, entitled "Method and Apparatus for Preserving Precise Exceptions in Binary Translated Code," the suit says.
