SF Puts Cellphone Radiation Law On Hold Amid Legal Fight

Law360, New York (October 20, 2011, 7:32 PM EDT) -- San Francisco agreed Thursday to hold off on enforcing a new mandate that retailers warn consumers that cellphones emit radiation until a federal judge decides whether to temporarily block the ordinance.

U.S. Judge William Alsup said at a hearing Thursday he would rule on the preliminary injunction within two weeks,

and in the meantime lawyers for the city agreed to suspend enforcing the law originally slated to go into effect Oct. 25, according to John Walls, a spokesman for the trade group fighting the law....
