Wellogix Takes Reduced $44M Award In Accenture Feud

Law360, New York (October 21, 2011, 6:58 PM EDT) -- Wellogix Inc. on Friday accepted a $50 million reduction from a $94.4 million jury verdict it won against Accenture LLP, which the software company accused of reneging on a joint marketing deal in a contract and trade secrets suit in Texas.

Wellogix had been ordered last week by U.S. District Judge Keith P. Ellison to either accept the remittitur or opt for a new trial on the damages after the judge deemed the $68.2 million in punitive damages — $50 million more than Wellogix's attorneys requested...
