CFTC Accuses Couple Of Running $2M Forex Scam

Law360, New York (October 26, 2011, 10:26 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Tuesday sued a Texas couple who allegedly raised $2 million by lying to investors about returns on their foreign currency exchange trading and used some of the money to pay for personal expenses.

In a complaint filed in Texas federal court, the CFTC accuses Linda and Chance Harris of fraudulently operating two forex trading companies — CDH Forex Investments LLC and CDH Global Holdings LLC — and moving $330,000 of investor money into personal bank accounts.
