Cisco, Teleconnect Hang Up Call Processing Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 26, 2011, 9:13 PM EDT) -- Cisco Systems Inc. and Teleconnect Solutions LLC ended a suit Wednesday in Texas accusing the networking technology giant of infringing a Teleconnect patent through its software-based call processing systems.

U.S. District Judge Leonard Davis approved a joint motion to dismiss all claims and counterclaims between the companies, stipulating each party would bear its own costs and attorneys' fees.

The case began in June, when Frisco, Texas-based Teleconnect alleged Cisco had violated its U.S. Patent Number 5,802,160, titled “Multi-ring telephone method and system,” by selling the call...
