Lehman, Danske Bank End $1B Claims Feud Over Loans

Law360, New York (October 27, 2011, 6:43 PM EDT) -- Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. said Wednesday it won support for its liquidation plan from Danske Bank A/S after it agreed to allow the Denmark-based bank to make $1.16 billion in claims related to repurchased real estate loans.

The defunct investment bank asked a New York bankruptcy court to approve the settlement, which resolved what had been more than $1.4 billion in claims that Danske Bank originally made after Lehman filed for bankruptcy protection in October 2008.
