Nikon Nailed With Camera Technology Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 27, 2011, 4:44 PM EDT) -- A patent licensing company sued four units of Nikon Corp. on Wednesday in Delaware federal court, alleging the electronics manufacturer's cameras violated several touch screen and virtual reality technology patents.

Two affiliates of Intellectual Ventures Management LLC accused Nikon's subsidiaries — Nikon Inc., Nikon Americas Inc., Nikon Imaging Japan Inc. and Sendai Nikon Corp. — of manufacturing a wide range of digital cameras and photo editing software that violated five patents.
