Ex-Calif. City Chief Could Face FCA Claim In Fraud Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (October 27, 2011, 8:49 PM EDT) -- A California judge on Thursday told the city of Bell that it should pursue an alternative case under the False Claims Act against its former city manager, who faces criminal and civil allegations that he funneled millions of taxpayer dollars to pay himself and others lucrative salaries.
