Bingham McCutchen Helps Energy PE Firm Close $2B Fund

Law360, New York (October 31, 2011, 7:00 PM EDT) -- Energy Investors Funds, a private equity firm that targets traditional and renewable electricity investments, has closed on its largest fund to date, a $1.7 billion pool that will focus on long-term U.S. power contracts, the company announced Monday.

EIF United States Power Fund IV LP, the firm's eighth fund, has already invested $350 million, though the firm declined to name specific projects.
