Ex-ABB Exec Says Prosecutors Withheld Info In Bribe Case

Law360, New York (October 31, 2011, 7:26 PM EDT) -- A former general manager of ABB Inc. asked for sanctions on Monday against prosecutors who he said have purposely withheld information in a case accusing him of authorizing bribes to Mexican officials for electrical utilities contracts.

In his motion in Texas federal court, John Joseph O’Shea, who was employed by a unit of Swiss power and automation company ABB Ltd., claimed prosecutors had produced more than 33,000 pages of additional discovery materials on Oct. 20 and 24, less than three weeks before trial.
