Samsung Smartphones Targeted In Digital Album IP Suit

Law360, New York (November 1, 2011, 5:55 PM EDT) -- Texas-based patent holder Displeigh LLC on Monday accused Samsung Electronics America Inc. of infringing a patent for a digital photo album with its touch-screen smartphones and tablets.

The suit, filed in Texas federal court, says the infringement extends to at least Samsung’s touch-screen interface smartphones and tablets. Displeigh is seeking damages, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest, and a finding that the case is exceptional and necessitates attorneys’ fees.
