ArcelorMittal Unit Dumped Wire Rod In US: Commerce

Law360, New York (November 1, 2011, 8:31 PM EDT) -- A Mexican unit of global steel giant ArcelorMittal has been dumping carbon and alloy steel wire rod in the U.S., the U.S. Department of Commerce said in a preliminary finding published Tuesday.

The agency said in a Federal Register notice that it has preliminarily calculated a weighted-average dumping margin of 5.4 percent for wire rod imported into the U.S. by ArcelorMittal Las Truchas SA De CV and its affiliate ArcelorMittal International America LLC from Oct. 1, 2009 through Sept. 30, 2010.
