Nokia Sues InterDigital Over 3G Patents

Law360, New York (January 13, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Finnish mobile handset maker Nokia Corp. has filed a federal lawsuit against InterDigital Communications Corp. over a patent related to third-generation (3G) mobile-phone technology.

The lawsuit, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, targets InterDigital and its InterDigital Technology unit.

Nokia is seeking declaratory judgments of patent invalidity and noninfringement and violations of the Lanham Act relating to the technology, according to the complaint.
