Oblon Spivak Scoops Up Former Register Of Copyrights

Law360, Los Angeles (November 3, 2011, 3:34 PM EDT) -- Intellectual property law firm Oblon Spivak McClelland Maier & Neustadt LLP has added former U.S. Register of Copyrights Marybeth Peters to its trademark and copyright practice group, the firm announced Thursday, marking its second high-profile hire in the past few weeks.

Peters, who headed the U.S. Copyright Office for 16 years, will join Oblon Spivak as senior counsel in the IP firm's Alexandria, Va., office. She is considered an authority on copyright-related issues and brings a wealth of experience, having been one of the longest-tenured directors...
