NJDEP Settles Suit Over Polluted Military Site

Law360, New York (November 3, 2011, 5:37 PM EDT) -- The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection agreed Thursday to clean up groundwater near a former military manufacturing plant in central New Jersey in order to settle a suit with current site owner Litgo New Jersey Inc.

U.S. District Judge Anne E. Thompson approved a consent judgment Thursday submitted by the NJDEP, Litgo and plaintiff Sheldon Goldstein in September, ending a suit launched in June 2006 over a polluted property formerly used by the NJDEP as a storage facility for hazardous waste.
