Alleged Blagojevich Co-Schemer Pushes For Early Release

Law360, New York (November 4, 2011, 6:20 PM EDT) -- A former political fundraiser convicted in former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's corruption scandal has asked the court to sentence him to time served, while the government continues to push for a longer sentence, according to court papers unsealed Thursday.

Wealthy Chicago businessman Tony Rezko, who was convicted of 16 charges of fraud and bribery in 2008, is seeking an early release after being incarcerated for the past 44 months while awaiting sentencing.
