DOJ Won't Probe Ex-Top SEC Atty's Ties To Madoff

Law360, New York (November 4, 2011, 2:05 PM EDT) -- Prosecutors won't investigate whether the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's former top attorney, under fire for an alleged conflict of interest in handling the agency's response to now-imprisoned Bernard L. Madoff's Ponzi scheme, violated ethics laws, his attorney said Friday.

Former SEC general counsel David Becker, who is in settlement talks with Bernard L.
