Qwest Strikes Deal In Call Center Workers' FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (November 4, 2011, 7:19 PM EDT) -- Qwest Corp. and a class of call center workers have reached a tentative settlement in a Minnesota suit claiming the company didn't pay its employees for time spent booting up and shutting down computers, the parties said Friday.

Magistrate Judge Arthur J. Boylan on Friday granted Qwest and the plaintiffs' motion the same day to stay proceedings until they finalize the terms of the settlement and file a motion for approval of the settlement. They agreed to the material terms of the deal on Oct. 25,...
