Dyson Targets LG Over Vacuum Chamber Patent

Law360, New York (November 4, 2011, 9:15 PM EDT) -- Vacuum cleaner maker Dyson Inc. sued rival LG Electronics USA Inc. on Friday in Illinois federal court, alleging it violated Dyson's patent covering a collecting chamber for bagless vacuum cleaners in at least four of its vacuum cleaner models.

Dyson claims LG violated the patent in models including the LuV200R, LuV300B, LuV250C and LuV400T vacuum cleaners, which either directly or indirectly infringed the patent.

The company also says LG’s infringement was willful and deliberate.
