Chinese Airlines Aim To Ground EU Emissions Plan

Law360, New York (November 9, 2011, 3:38 PM EST) -- More than 30 Chinese airlines plan to sue to stop the European Union from imposing caps on carbon emissions for airlines flying to or from Europe, a report said Tuesday.

An official with the China Air Transportation Association told China's Global Times that the trade group would join 33 of the country's airline companies in taking action against the EU's Emissions Trading Scheme by the end of 2011.
