Chinese Flooring Imports Hurt US Industry, ITC Says

Law360, New York (November 9, 2011, 4:30 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission found Wednesday that U.S. companies had been hurt by imports of cheap multilayered wood flooring from China, spelling new duties for Chinese manufacturers of the product.

In a 4-2 vote, the ITC formally determined Wednesday that the imports had materially injured domestic producers of the wood flooring, joining a finding by the U.S. Department of Commerce last month that the Chinese products were unfairly subsidized and sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.
